Dee Karl, @7thwoman of the Isles Blogbox asked me if I could fill in for her today to cover the Isles game vs the Ottawa Senators. I forgot it was a holiday matinee and the Islanders would be in their alternate black jerseys, so I said yes.
Boy, am I stupid.
But seriously, I want to thank her for the vote of confidence and it was a pleasure to help out a Mentor.
Keep a box of tissues and a bucket close by after reading about this game.
