Per Arthur Staple, “Bridgeport camp begins on Friday at IceWorks with a new

“NHL Officials' Association
has asked its members to NOT take officiating jobs that have been offered in
other leagues and/or Europe. NHLOA
rationale: 1. Don't take jobs from other non-NHLOA officials 2. Don't risk
injury and perhaps not be ready to work if lockout ends. BTW, for those asking, NHL refs and linesmen
are not being paid during the lockout. No games, no pay.”
